What is the opportunity?

This role is accountable for developing, pricing, monitoring, and preserving the integrity of the profitability of our Life and Health products. This position supports the attainment of our strategic objectives, including recommending improvements to the actuarial valuation process and models in the CALM process.

What will you do?

  • Complete monthly transaction based reporting for Corporate Actuarial and their partners.
  • Assist with identifying and implementing improvements to actuarial valuation processes.
  • Develop and maintain statistical models of valuation data.
  • Perform experience studies and communicate results to management.
  • Produce the quarterly CALM valuation process. Assist in asset data checking and reconciliation.
  • Determined the impact of ALM trades on earnings and interest rate risk profile.
What will you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics
  • Actively pursuing an ASA/ACIA designation
  • Ideal candidates have a strong desire to set and exceed challenging goals with high energy and a drive for superior results
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively influence others as well as present issues, options and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel is required; experience with GGY AXIS or other actuarial software is a definite asset
