Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, roll and other Japanese-inspired dishes with precision and artistry
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene in the kitchen
- Select fresh ingredients and ensure proper storage to uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow recipes and presentation guidelines to create visually appealing dishes
- Assist in inventory management and order supplies as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role with a focus on Japanese cuisine
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Culinary certification or relevant training in cooking preferred but not required
- Mandarin Speaking is an asset
