Rivercity Inclusion Society is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to advocate and provide services for people with developmental needs, and their families, who live in the Campbell River area. Our Dogwood Place Child & Youth Development Centre offers a family-centered approach to children and youth who need extra support.
The Behaviour Analyst collaborates with families, staff, and community partners to develop evidence-informed behavior support strategies at Dogwood Place. Working within an interdisciplinary team, the role delivers consultation, coaching, and intervention to promote child inclusion and skill development across home, school, and community settings.
Hours of work will be Wednesday & Thursday 8:30am – 4:00pm, Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm. Flexibility may also be required depending on client needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, Child and Youth Care, Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
- Specialized clinical training in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), and/or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
- Certification through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Minimum two years’ experience working with children and 2000 hours working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities and their families
- First Aid Certificate
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Consent to criminal record check
- Negative TB test results
