Provide support to the department chair, senior department administrators and the director of operations as well as administrative oversight for recruitment, appointments and contract renewals of faculty and staff members, performance management, awards programs, committees and policies.
Knowledge of administration, human resources or a related discipline usually acquired through post-secondary education, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of an academic environment considered an asset
Minimum of three to five years’ experience in an administration environment
Experience using computer systems and applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, databases, email and the Internet
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of initiative, assertiveness, courtesy, discretion and diplomacy
Ability to handle information in a confidential manner
Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness
Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a team environment and under pressure with firm deadlines

Contract of approximately 24 months, with possibility of renewal. Eligibility to benefits will be determined upon hiring. This position is excluded from all union accreditation units.
