Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, electrical knowledge, and experience with industrial maintenance to ensure optimal plant operations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, precision, and technical expertise are paramount.
Candidate will be on 10/4 rotation based out of Argentia, NL
Travel across island will be required
Responsibilities
- Install, align, and assemble machinery and equipment according to schematics and technical specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using analysis skills and diagnostic tools
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams for effective troubleshooting and repairs
- Conduct welding and low voltage electrical work as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety standards by following proper procedures during maintenance activities
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing systems
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and production teams to ensure efficient operations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading
- Electrical experience including low voltage systems and industrial electrician skills
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Experience with welding techniques, and general electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze complex problems quickly and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial maintenance activities
- Expierence with crusher/screener maintenance is an asset
