This Manager opportunity is with an established North York CPA firm where the work extends well beyond annual compliance.
You’ll manage corporate tax engagements while getting involved in planning, reorganizations, cross-border matters, trusts, estates and more complex advisory assignments for privately owned businesses, high-net-worth individuals and international business groups.

What you’ll be doing:
- Manage and review corporate tax compliance engagements
- Review complex T2 returns and related tax filings
- Advise clients on corporate tax planning opportunities
- Assist with corporate reorganizations and restructuring assignments
- Work on Canadian inbound and outbound tax matters
- Support tax planning for shareholders and privately owned businesses
- Gain exposure to trusts, estates and succession planning
- Assist clients with CRA reviews, audits and objections
- Research complex Canadian tax issues
- Manage client relationships and provide ongoing tax advice
- Review work prepared by Senior and Staff Accountants
- Coach and develop junior members of the tax team
- Manage engagement deadlines and workflow
- Work closely with Partners on complex planning assignments
- Identify additional planning and advisory opportunities within the client portfolio
What they’re looking for:
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of Canadian public accounting/tax experience
- Previous Senior Tax Accountant or Manager-level experience
- Strong Canadian corporate tax compliance experience
- Experience reviewing T2 returns and related corporate filings
- Corporate tax planning experience
- Exposure to corporate reorganizations
- Strong Canadian income tax knowledge
- Cross-border or international tax experience would be an asset
- Trust and estate tax exposure would be an asset
- Experience reviewing and mentoring junior staff
- Comfortable managing client relationships independently
- CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program completed or underway would be highly regarded
- Applicants must have previous CPA firm/public accounting experience
