Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food industry environment. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist in food preparation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage multiple tables or orders efficiently during busy periods using excellent time management skills
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is advantageous
- Experience in food preparation, serving, cashiering, or kitchen operations is beneficial for success in this role
