Albright Manor Long-Term Care Home, established in 1966, is a 232 bed, charitable, non-profit organization, located in Beamsville, Ontario.

With over 400 employees, we are seeking a fulltime HR Generalist to add to our growing team! This is an exciting role that the successful applicant will support the HR function as well as developing new HR tools and programs!
Working with the HR Manager, the Human Resources Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle for a long-term care home in Beamsville, Ontario. The role provides practical HR guidance to leaders and team members while helping maintain a respectful, compliant, resident-centred workplace. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee and labour relations (CLAC and ONA) , attendance and performance management, training coordination, HR administration, occupational health and safety initiatives, and compliance with applicable employment, privacy, human rights, health and safety, and long-term care requirements.
Duties include but are not limited to;
· Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for clinical, care, dietary, environmental, administrative, leadership, and support roles within the home.
· Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS data, personnel files, seniority lists, training records, and employment documentation.
· Track HR metrics such as vacancies, turnover, attendance, training completion, recruitment activity, and employee relations trends.
· Support the HR Manager with day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on policies, procedures, collective agreements, workplace expectations, and employment-related matters.
· Support respectful workplace practices, conflict resolution, investigations, progressive discipline, grievance preparation, and documentation.
· Interpret and support the administration of collective agreements, where applicable, including scheduling provisions, seniority, job postings, leaves, accommodations, and employee relations processes.
· Support attendance management processes in collaboration with department leaders, identifying trends and supporting the HR manager in addressing attendance issues
· Coordinate leave administration, return-to-work planning, modified duties, workplace accommodation, and disability management processes.
· Coordinate mandatory training and maintain training records for topics such as orientation, workplace violence and harassment prevention, accessibility, privacy, health and safety, and emergency procedures.

Do you have the following qualifications?? Then we want to hear from you!
· Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labour Relations, Health Administration, or a related field.
· Certified Human Resources Professional designation.
· Minimum of two to five years of progressive human resources experience; experience in long-term care, health care, seniors’ care, in a unionized environment is strongly preferred.
- Previous work in a unionized workplace is a must.
· Working knowledge of Ontario employment standards, human rights, accessibility, occupational health and safety, workplace violence and harassment requirements, privacy principles, and HR best practices.
· Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, attendance management, disability management, training administration, and HR documentation.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience with HRIS (Dayforce preferred)or applicant tracking systems.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
This is an onsite position 5 days per week, 830am to 430pm
