Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly attitude
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest experience
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and timely service for all guests
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, with strong knowledge of the food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and payment processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, tipping, and cash handling tasks
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Kitchen experience or understanding of food preparation processes is a plus
- Effective communication skills to interact seamlessly with guests and team members
- A positive attitude with a passion for hospitality, guest services, and creating memorable dining moments
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 14.0 per week
