We are currently assisting with a Construction Project Manager for a client in the Ottawa Area. This person will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing construction projects within defined budgets, timelines, and scopes. Please note this person will need to be fully bilingual to be successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Proven experience managing construction projects with involvement in project design, engineering coordination, and drawing review.
- Ability to work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants during the design phase to ensure constructability and cost control.
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the project team, ensuring work progresses as scheduled while actively engaging in project execution.
- Manage schedules, budgets, resources, and project deliverables to ensure clear communication and accountability.
- Coordinate across multiple projects and collaborate with other project managers and assistants.
- Plan and prioritize deliverables and resources effectively to align with project goals and scope of work.
- Identify and mitigate project risks by developing proactive solutions.
- Anticipate client and stakeholder needs and ensure project approaches are aligned with long-term objectives.
- Manage client expectations, ensure quality service delivery, and act on feedback for continuous improvement.
- Provide regular project status updates and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership, escalating issues when needed.
- Identify opportunities for project improvements and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with technical and project leads to present project progress and contribute to proposals for new opportunities.
Requirements
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- Strong communication skills in English and French.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably in civil infrastructure, municipal works, or commercial construction projects.
- Experience working and managing multiple trades people
- Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Excellent negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Advanced time management and analytical skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
