Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing high-quality service to our customers while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Duties
- System Maintenance and Repair: Regularly inspect and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Guest and Staff Requests: Promptly respond to and resolve maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff.
- Building and Grounds: Perform repairs and maintenance on floors, walls, furniture, roofs, doors, and the general exterior of the hotel.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failure and ensure the hotel meets safety standards.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duties to address emergency situations, such as power outages or other critical issues.
- Technical Tasks: Perform tasks like painting, drywall repair, and installation of new items such as light fixtures or carpets.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities and expenditures.
- Coordination: Work with and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs.
Qualifications
- Technical Aptitude: A wide range of mechanical aptitude and skills in trades like plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
- Physical Demands: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and handling materials manually.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure work is completed correctly and to safety standards.
- Customer Service: Excellent service skills to interact professionally with guests and co-workers.
- Availability: A willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to be on-call for emergencies.
- Education: Often requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional training in specialized maintenance trades being beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
