We're looking for a Test & Validation Engineer who enjoys breaking products, solving problems, and ensuring every system performs reliably before it reaches customers.
The Role
As a Test & Validation Engineer, you'll own the verification and validation of our products throughout development and production.
You'll design test plans, build automated test systems, investigate failures, analyze data, and work closely with engineering teams to improve product reliability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding how complex systems work and has the curiosity to find why they don't.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute verification and validation test plans
- Develop repeatable test procedures for new products
- Build and improve automated test fixtures and test equipment
- Perform mechanical, electrical, fluidic, and software testing
- Analyze failures and perform root cause investigations
- Document defects and work with engineering teams to resolve issues
- Collect, analyze, and present performance data
- Validate design changes before production release
- Develop production acceptance testing procedures
- Support reliability, environmental, and life-cycle testing
- Maintain detailed test documentation and reports
- Continuously improve testing efficiency and product quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with multidisciplinary systems
- Strong written documentation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is considered an asset:
- Product verification and validation
- Laboratory instrumentation
- Biotechnology or medical devices
- Automated test equipment
- Python or scripting for automation
- Electronics testing
- Fluidics or pneumatic systems
- Mechanical assembly
- Root cause analysis
- Statistical data analysis
- Reliability or environmental testing
- Design verification (DV) and production validation (PV)
- ISO 13485 or regulated product development
- CAD software and engineering drawings
AI-Native Workplace
