Hazelwood Early Learning Centre in Port Coquitlam requires a part time educator to work with our School Aged Program. We are looking for someone to work with below schedule
Monday - Friday: 7:00-9:00 and 2:00 - 5:30pm
And possible additional shifts when staff are ill or on vacation.
We are seeking someone who is energetic, creative, experienced and a passionate educator who thrives in an outdoor learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include delivering a responsive curriculum with a strong focus on nature, the environment, community, and the outdoors. You will work in collaboration with educators, children, and families to provide a program rich in social / emotional learning.
Other responsibilities include those things typical of an ECE environment, such as building relationships with children and families, communicating with families and other staff, maintaining health and safety regulations, cleaning, etc.
Required qualifications:
-ECE, Responsible Adult or ECE A or School Age Certificate
-Current first aid
-Criminal record check
-Strong command of the English language, both oral and written
-Familiar with documenting children’s learning and behaviour
- Comfortable with the use of technology such as Ipad, simple documentation software, Google Suite and Microsoft word.
Compensation and hours:
Based on experience and qualifications ($19-$22/hr) plus $6.00 peer Wage Enhancement for qualified ECE.
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
