Job Overview:
We are seeking an Article Student to join our team. This position offers a valuable opportunity for students to complete their articles and obtain their certification to become a lawyer. You will be working solely in Family Law and Child Protection Law. Working in Family Law you can expect to:
- Work directly with clients
- Draft Provincial CFCSA and FLA court documents
- Attend Family Remand Court, Pre-Trial Conferences, Family Management Conferences, Trials, and Mediations within Northern BC.
Qualifications:
- Law degree (LLB or JD) and the required prerequisites to article in BC, Canada
- Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams as well as Adobe
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence as you will be required to drive to different court locations within Northern BC
This position provides students with hands-on experience in working in the area of Family Law, working with clients, and appearing in court regularly.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
