As we embark on our ten year strategic plan, we continue to build change management capacity across our organization and integrate best practises in change management into project planning and organizational development opportunities. In the near future we will be implementing an integrated Health Information System (HIS) and several other transformational changes to drive our efforts in providing a new kind of health care for a healthier community. As THP prepares for the implementation of several major projects, we are currently seeking a Change Specialist to support the Learning & Organizational Development team in providing change management support and expertise to the organization.
The Change Specialist for Major Projects will play a key role in supporting both the business and cultural change for the Organization. This role will be responsible for recommending, planning and managing the implementation of change management plans to support Major Projects at THP.
Working across 3 hospital sites, this position will report into the Manger, Change Management, and is accountable to the HIS Executive Lead, working on a day-to-day basis with the HIS implementation team, which is the primary project this role will support.
Here’s what you will get to do:
Conduct readiness, impact and stakeholder assessments at various stages of project planning
Recommend change tactics, develop and implement change management strategies and plans across various domains to support the business and culture through transformative changes
Support the integration of change management plans with project management activities in collaboration with the Project Control office
Identify methodologies to measure impact of change
Demonstrate flexibility to change course if change management plans are not having the desired effect
Consult with change team members and project leadership on communication, training, coaching and sponsorships strategies
Understand the change needs of the project stakeholders and support as a facilitator and problem solver to best meet the change needs of the project in collaboration with project leadership
Engage with all levels of stakeholders within the organization
Here’s what you need:
University or College graduate in a related discipline
10+ years of work experience in Change Management in multiple and complex projects
Change Management certification is a strong asset, Prosci trained is preferred
Experience in health care technology implementation
Ability to work in a demanding, but fulfilling environment often with competing priorities
Must demonstrate the ability to interact, partner with and support a diverse group of stakeholders including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Knowledge of clinical processes and experience in Canadian health care environment is an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Outlook, Visio, and Project software
