Join the North York Taekwondo Team!
North York Taekwondo is looking for a passionate, energetic, and professional Taekwondo instructor to join our team. This position will begin during the summer, with the opportunity for continued employment in the fall.
We are looking for an instructor who is passionate about developing children through martial arts and who leads by example with professionalism, strong character, and excellent technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Taekwondo classes for students of all ages, with a primary focus on children.
- Create a positive, motivating environment that encourages discipline, respect, and personal growth.
- Demonstrate proper Taekwondo techniques with confidence and accuracy.
- Teach and evaluate colour belt curriculum
- Support belt testing, camps, tournaments, and special events.
- Work collaboratively with the instructional team to maintain the high standards of North York Taekwondo.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct students and motivate them to achieve their best.
- Ability to demonstrate proper techniques clearly and safely while providing constructive feedback.
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with students of varying ages and skill levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1st Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt.
- Previous experience teaching taekwondo to kids
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1st Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt.
- Previous experience teaching taekwondo to kids
- Thorough knowledge of all colour belt poomsae.
- Strong technical ability with the confidence to demonstrate all required kicking, striking, blocking, and self-defence techniques.
- Ability to motivate students while maintaining high standards of discipline and respect.

Pay:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications. ($18–25 per hour, plus benefits, where eligible)
