Position Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Representative is responsible for collecting on and providing services for all customer invoices related to freight-related services (AR) and non-freight related services (ASI) including demurrage, customs inspections, etc.
Level of Responsibility
Responsible for quality and timeliness of personal work. Contributing to projects with guidance, supporting team/organizational objectives. Increased handling tasks with greater independence as experience in the role progresses.
Key Tasks

Lead the collection process for overdue accounts with advanced negotiation skills honed through a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including issuing credit notes and adjustments as needed.

Accurately apply customer payments and resolve complex queries promptly.

Maintain effective communication with customers and sales representatives to facilitate smooth transactions.

Utilize judgment to approve shipments based on payment history and creditworthiness.

Proactively monitor customer accounts against credit limits, taking necessary actions.
Skills / Experience

Proficiency in English and French languages to communicate with customers and sales representatives to facilitate smooth transactions.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.

Ability to work independently, and work under strict deadlines.

Dynamic, ambitious, and strong interpersonal skills.

SAP experience an asset.

Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications, strong Excel skills required.

Excellent communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
