Sign & Lighting Electrician/Technician
YESCO Vaughan is looking for motivated and reliable Sign & Lighting Technicians and Sign Installers to join our growing team.
This hands-on position involves diagnosing and repairing commercial electrical signage, performing LED retrofits on interior and exterior signs, troubleshooting parking lot and building lighting systems, and installing commercial signage.
Successful candidates are self-motivated professionals who are comfortable working outdoors, operating bucket trucks and aerial equipment, and communicating effectively with customers, sales representatives, and office staff while managing work independently in the field.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair illuminated signs, channel letters, cabinet signs, pylons, and other commercial signage
- Troubleshoot and repair parking lot lighting, wall packs, floodlights, and exterior building lighting
- Perform LED retrofits and lighting upgrades for signs and lighting systems
- Install commercial signage and lighting equipment
- Operate bucket trucks, crane trucks, and aerial work platforms
- Complete work orders, material tracking, and job documentation using a mobile device
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site and provide updates on work being performed
- Coordinate effectively with sales representatives and office staff to ensure projects are completed successfully
- Take site measurements and assist with project planning
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience in electrical work, sign service, lighting service, or sign installation
- Licensed Electrician (309A, 442A, or equivalent) is preferred but not required
- Ability to safely operate a 37' bucket truck and/or 43' crane truck
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and at heights of 40 feet or more
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate job status, progress, and site conditions with customers, sales staff, and office personnel
- Familiarity with smartphones and tablets for completing work orders and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and complete work efficiently within allotted timeframes
- Safety-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safe work practices
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Scissor Lift and Elevated Work Platform certifications are an asset

Pay: $19.00–$35.00 per hour (based on experience)
