Duties
- Alter, repair, and customize garments according to client requests and specifications
- Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and adjustments
- Operate Industrial sewing machines and other tailoring tools efficiently and safely
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and provide advice on alterations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
Requirements
- Experience as a seamstress or tailor
- Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using industrial sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques
- Basic math skills for taking measurements, calculating fabric requirements, and adjusting patterns
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Attention to detail and precision in all aspects of garment alteration and creation
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently
- Prior experience working with different fabrics and garment types is a plus
- Flexibility to adapt to client needs and provide customized solutions
