We are seeking an experienced Associate Lawyer to join a well-established personal injury litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, the ability to independently manage a significant caseload, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal representation. Partnership-level experience is also welcome.
Independently manage a large portfolio of personal injury litigation files from inception through resolution.
Handle all stages of the litigation process, including pleadings, discoveries, motions, negotiations, mediations, and trials.
Develop litigation strategies and provide practical legal advice to clients.
Draft and review pleadings, affidavits, motions, correspondence, settlement documents, and other legal materials.
Conduct legal research and prepare cases for hearings and trial.
Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
Work collaboratively with other lawyers and legal support professionals on complex matters.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide responsive, high-quality service.
Manage competing deadlines and ensure files progress efficiently.
3+ years of relevant personal injury litigation experience.
Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Strong experience independently managing litigation files.
Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and organized.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and client-management skills.
Partnership or senior-level experience is considered an asset.
Strong academic background preferred.
