Pay: $18.25–$25.00 per hour, based on experience, plus commission and tips
About Noor Salon
Noor Laser Unisex Salon is an established Surrey salon providing professional hair, beauty and grooming services in a clean, welcoming environment. We are expanding our team at our 128 Street location and are looking for a skilled, dependable hairstylist who specializes in women’s hair services.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate is confident working independently, communicates professionally with clients and takes pride in producing consistent results. Experience with chemical treatments, colour and modern styling is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform women’s haircuts, blowouts, styling and special-event hairstyles
- Conduct professional hair and scalp consultations
- Provide root colour, global colour, highlights and other colour services
- Perform keratin, smoothing and permanent-straightening services when qualified
- Explain expected results, pricing and aftercare before beginning a service
- Maintain accurate client notes and treatment history
- Recommend appropriate salon services and retail products
- Rebook clients and help develop long-term customer relationships
- Keep the workstation, tools and shared areas clean and sanitized
- Follow salon safety, sanitation and customer-service standards
- Support walk-in clients and scheduled appointments
- Work cooperatively with management and other salon professionals
Qualifications
- Previous professional hairstyling experience is preferred
- Strong women’s cutting, styling and blow-drying skills
- Chemical-treatment and colour experience is a strong asset
- Hairstyling certification or equivalent training is an asset
- Professional, reliable and punctual
- Strong consultation and customer-service skills
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Available for some evenings and weekends
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Existing clientele is an asset but is not required
