We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier and Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Provide product demonstrations and upsell additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive product presentation
- Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate cash registers, balance drawers at shift end, and handle cash handling procedures securely
- Assist in inventory management and stock organization
- Promote store promotions, loyalty programs, and new products to increase sales opportunities
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse clientele
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to perform product demos and explain features clearly
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for positive customer interactions
- Experience in merchandising, upselling, or technical sales is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
