At Motorola Video Analytics, we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Avigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems.
Reporting to the Manager, Salesforce, the Senior Salesforce Developer plays a strategic role in providing leadership within a team of Salesforce Admin Developers responsible for the development, integration and operational support of Avigilon’s Salesforce CRM and associated integrated systems.
Collaborate with business partners to develop and integrate in our complex enterprise Salesforce environment, continually delivering business value and improving the end-user experience.
Play a key role in the development of customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and drive project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.
Improve the user experience by applying best practices, usability testing, user input, and industry trends in the marketplace.
Provide clear direction during the design phases for medium to large projects/programs, clarifying, identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issues.
Establish, deliver and refine a road map to ensure that CRM platforms and products remain current, deliver value and support the needs of business stakeholders in terms of scalability, resilience, security, capacity, and operational maintenance.
Pilot, design, develop, test, and implement new CRM functionality with average to high complexity. Build metrics to track the effectiveness of the new features.
Provide hands-on expertise for system integration between Salesforce, SAP, partner portal, and many of Avigilon’s business applications.
Responsible for design/code reviews to help promote consistent quality coding practices and standards, as well as constructively improve secure coding.
Create and maintain documentation related to important support processes. Maintain detailed system configuration and architectural documentation on an ongoing basis. Documentation updates are required as part of any material change to the environment.
Initiate and spearhead process improvement opportunities.
Handle escalations for the following:
Feature development to production.
Administration support of the Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow.
Tier-2 support to IT Support Staff.
Provide occasional after-hours support, especially during system upgrades, quarter-end, and year-end periods.
Maintain and create engagement among team members, stakeholders, and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
Lead weekly project status meetings and ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support project deliverables.
Nice To Have:
- 4+ years Salesforce Development experience (Apex and Visual Force)
- Hands on experience in on Apex classes, Asynchronous Apex, controllers, Triggers, Visualforce pages, SOQL and SOSL, Web Services (SOAP and REST), Apex Callouts, Unit test classes, Salesforce Security model and lightning components.
- Strong working knowledge with Salesforce Community, Salesforce B2B Commerce and Salesforce CPQ
- Experience with different deployment techniques as changesets, ants and Jenkins
- Hands on experience with Salesforce Automation tools as Process Builder, Visual Flows, Approval Processes and changesets
- Certifications - Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, Salesforce Certified Admin, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
- Salesforce CRM (SFDC) & Marketing Cloud
- Experience with HTML, JQuery, AJAX, JSON and CSS
- Experience with UML
- Experience developing customer-facing user interfaces
- Salesforce Certified Developer II certification will be an added advantage
3+ years of Salesforce development experience
