Employment type: Full-time, contract-to-hire

ABOUT THE ROLE
Miia Lab is building MirrorMii, a gamified wellness product that turns everyday behavior into a living, evolving personal world.
We are looking for a hands-on, AI-native growth and marketing specialist who can build AI agents and automated workflows, then use them to create content, grow a community and generate measurable product and business results.
This is not a strategy-only, coordinator or traditional producer role. You must be able to personally research, develop stories, create assets, edit videos, publish content, engage the audience and improve the work based on results.
WHAT MATTERS MOST
1. AI agents and workflow building — mandatory
You must be able to show AI agents and multi-step workflows that you personally built and operated—not only prompts, tool lists or diagrams.
You should be able to:
Design reusable workflows with clear inputs, outputs, instructions, decision rules and human approval points.
Connect AI tools through automation platforms, APIs, webhooks, structured data or lightweight scripting.
Build workflows for research, content production, video editing, publishing, email, CRM and follow-up.
Test quality, trace failures, control costs and document your systems.
Maintain human review for facts, brand voice, privacy, health content and external communication.
Experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, custom agents, n8n, Make, Zapier, APIs or similar systems is useful. We evaluate working systems and results—not software names.
2. Storytelling and creative execution
You must know how to find the human story inside a product, scientific idea, founder insight or current event.
You should understand hooks, emotional arcs, pacing, visuals, sound and platform culture—and be able to execute the work yourself.
Experience in photography, journalism, broadcasting, documentary, editorial, screenwriting or visual storytelling is a strong advantage.
3. Growth, community and conversion
You should understand what happens after content gets attention: how to encourage participation, build a returning community and connect audience interest to email, CRM, product use and business opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build and operate AI-assisted workflows for research, content, video, publishing, email, CRM and reporting.
Turn founder ideas, product updates and behavioral or scientific insights into short-form content and recurring series.
Create and edit publish-ready videos, visuals and copy for platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Xiaohongshu and Threads.
Support launches and timely content around events, trends and relevant news.
Engage the community and turn audience feedback into useful content, product and growth insights.
Run creative experiments and track retention, saves, shares, community participation, qualified leads and conversions.
Maintain a reusable library of approved content, prompts, footage and brand assets.
Test new AI creative tools before recommending or adopting them.
YOU MAY BE A STRONG FIT IF YOU
Have a portfolio of social video, digital campaigns or visual storytelling that you personally created and edited.
Can clearly explain what you did, what AI did, how the workflow worked and what results it produced.
Can show at least one reusable AI agent and one multi-step automated workflow you personally built.
Have personally used email, CRM or marketing automation tools.
Understand hooks, pacing, visual rhythm, sound, captions, thumbnails and platform-specific audience behavior.
Combine strong creative taste with measurable growth judgment.
Can work directly with a fast-moving founder and turn incomplete ideas into structured creative options.
Communicate clearly in English. Chinese or Cantonese is a strong advantage.
Are interested in wellness, psychology, behavioral science, consumer AI, games or women’s health.
A relevant background in communications, journalism, broadcasting, creative writing, film, photography, marketing, psychology, behavioral science, economics, biology, health science, HCI or UX is preferred. Strong portfolio evidence may substitute for formal credentials.
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF
Your AI experience is limited to occasional prompting or templates.
You require separate people to research, script, design and edit before you can publish.
You have never personally built and maintained an AI workflow or automation.
You cannot clearly identify your own contribution to team or agency work.
You focus only on content volume or views without considering story quality, accuracy, audience quality or business results.
HOW TO APPLY
A relevant portfolio is required. Applications without one will not be invited to interview.
Please include:
1. Portfolio
Provide three strong examples that you personally created. State your exact contribution and any available performance or business results.
2. AI workflow evidence
Show AI agents or automated workflows you previously built. Briefly explain the problem, how the workflow operated, your role and the measurable result.
3. Cover letter and assignment plan
Include a concise plan explaining how you would approach an interview assignment, including:
Your proposed AI workflow
Production steps and review points
How you would connect content to community or product action
How you would measure success
4. Practical details
Confirm your current location, availability and ability to work full-time on-site in Vancouver.
Only candidates who submit a relevant portfolio, credible AI workflow evidence and a clear assignment plan will be considered for an interview.
Shortlisted candidates will receive the full assignment brief and source materials before the interview.
Miia Lab values original thinking, responsible AI use and clear ownership of creative work. Candidates must disclose material use of third-party assets, synthetic voices or likenesses, and AI-generated media.
