Piggy and Paisley is a cafe / coffee shop and tearoom. We offer 35 kinds of tea, coffees, in-house baked pastries and afternoon tea. With an upcoming expansion, we are looking for experienced baristas to join our team, both part time and full time.
Responsibilities:
- Serving customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Prepare and serve quality beverages
- Learn about and inform our customers about our teas
- Take customer orders and work with the POS system
- Operate espresso machine and other equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Perform cleaning duties
In addition, your job may include waiting on tables for afternoon tea, and assist with baking and other food preparation. We are looking for flexibility and willingness to assist where needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of barista experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Baking and / or food preparation experience is a plus
- References must be provided
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
