Lead HVAC Installer (5+ Years Experience)

Pay: $35.00–$55.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

North Lake Mechanical Ltd. is a growing residential and light commercial mechanical contractor specializing in premium HVAC, plumbing, hydronic heating, boilers, and heat pump installations. We’re looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Installer who can manage installations from start to finish while maintaining exceptional workmanship and professionalism.
Responsibilities
● Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations.
● Install and commission furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, boilers, HRVs/ERVs, and water heaters.
● Fabricate and install custom sheet metal fittings and ductwork.
● Install gas piping, venting, refrigeration piping, and condensate drains.
● Perform pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system commissioning.
● Diagnose installation issues and ensure systems operate to manufacturer specifications.
● Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
● Train and mentor apprentices and junior installers.
● Maintain a clean, organized worksite and company vehicle.
● Complete job documentation and communicate professionally with customers.
Qualifications
Required:
● Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience
● Valid G2 Gas Technician License (G1 considered an asset)
● Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record
● Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems
● Strong sheet metal fabrication skills
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
● Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces
Assets:
● ODP Certification
● 313D or 313A Refrigeration Licence
● Experience with hydronic systems and boilers
● Experience with Mitsubishi, Lennox, Goodman, Trane, or similar equipment
● Fall Protection, Working at Heights, and First Aid certifications
