Qualifications:Essential:
Experience providing excellent service in a client-focused environment
Experience interpreting and communicating legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
Strong experience working with databases, including database management
Proven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both official languages (English and French)
Strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team and independently
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance conflicting priorities and tight deadlines
Ability to work with confidential information
Ability to take initiative in the workplace
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Duties:
Under the direction of the Manager, Protection of Persons in Care Office, the Intake and Database Clerk is responsible for the intake, triage, and assessment of reports of alleged abuse and neglect and ensuring data is inputted into the database in a timely and accurate manner. As a first point of contact, this position provides information and assistance to the general public, staff at healthcare facilities, persons in care, and their families. Working collaboratively as part of a team, this position receives highly confidential inquiries, which requires strong organizational and time management skills to effectively deliver client services in a high volume environment. While carrying out these duties, the Clerk is responsible for database input and administration.
