Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 3 years of recent Canadian Obstetrics nursing experience (required)
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current FHS (Fetal Health Surveillance) certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3-month assignment with possibility of extension
- Must be willing and able to work in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical units

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical units
- Assess, monitor, and support mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
- Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and monitor patient responses while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure continuity of care across both clinical areas
- Adhere to professional standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety guidelines while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
- 3 years of relevant Canadian Obstetrics nursing experience (required)
- Experience providing care in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical settings is preferred
- Familiarity with Meditech is an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical settings
