The Apparel Production Coordinator will run every step of the process from product development through production for the Riding Gear and Sportswear collections. Our product development team works in rapid iteration, quickly executing from idea to final sample. Communication and daily correspondence with our global mill and factory network is essential to your day-to-day success. The Production Coordinator must be passionate with an obsessive eye for detail, working with our design, product line leaders and technical design teams every step of the way.
The Production Coordinator brings the BRP Apparel product to life by following the product life cycle through actual production. Creative problem solving skills are key while working with our global factory network.
YOUR KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Manage the product development cycle for all Riding Gear and Sportswear collections alongside cross functional partners; technical design, product line leads, design, 3D lead, pattern, fit and spec and sourcing.
Work collaboratively to make sure everyone is aligned on the development process; from product ideation, to techpack creation, to sample review, comments, fit and spec, etc
Coordinate and support technical design team in the creation of technical packages and standards
Actively support prototyping and mock-up creation
Own overseas product development with factories and partners.
Maintain detailed calendars and costing tools in conjunction with the sourcing team.
Manage the required testing (lab + trials), patents, certifications and legal procedures.
Work with sourcing and design to meet cost and margin targets
Coordinate the development of packaging and labeling of each product
Assist Sourcing team for Customs and Duty requirements with fabric and trim expertise
Coordinate Textiles declarations, Care Label creation for all collections.
Strong communication via email/video/phone with factory and mill partners. Communicate with overseas makers daily.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
5 years of apparel technical design or apparel product development experience
Proven leader with a track record of success in motivating and inspiring development teams
Strong leadership skills and the ability to give clear direction to the team, managing their time professionally and motivating their team members to do the same.
Detail orientation, possess strong time management skills and ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment; Development Lead will be expected to participate in, and lead some elements, of all Gate meetings throughout the process.
An entrepreneurial attitude with creative thinking skills
Strong costing skills
A positive outlook and an incredible team player
Well versed in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft and Google suites,
Excellent communication skills and highly organized
Experience working with many cultures and across various teams
Comfortable with international travel
Ability to react to change and bring the team along the journey of the product
