Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Clinical/Sterilization Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for sterilizing dental instruments, preparing treatment areas, and supporting the clinical team with essential administrative and technical tasks. Your attention to detail and enthusiasm will help maintain the highest standards of infection control and patient care, contributing to a smooth-running practice that prioritizes patient comfort and safety.
Duties
- Properly sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using advanced sterilization equipment and protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for upcoming procedures.
- Assist dental practitioners during patient procedures by handing instruments and managing materials efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, instrument inventories, and patient treatment documentation using systems like SteriScan and Oryx.
- Support the front desk team by managing patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and answering basic inquiries related to pediatrics or orthodontics.
- Ensure compliance with all infection control guidelines and safety regulations to protect patients and staff alike.
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting or sterilization is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- You do not need years of dental experience to succeed here. You do need: compassion, curiosity, professionalism, adaptability and the desire to grow with a supportive team.
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment with a focus on infection control standards is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
