The Information and Technology department plays an essential role on the business team, typically implementing hardware and software solutions to business problems. The IT personnel holds a professional position in such areas as client/server or Web development, systems analysis and network administration.
Maintain computers to standards (diagnostic, on-site inspections and repairs).
Set-up of computers and telephone systems (installation of necessary software/hardware).
Pick-up and delivery of computers and components for IT Department (on and off site).
Maintain Network Administration Details spreadsheet and software packages.
Liase with IT and Application vendors in the absence of the Systems manager.
Telecommunications (Land and Cellular)
Specification, purchase and maintenance of all communications equipment and billing
Photograph, obtain or create images for various medias such as presentations, events, print and web based ads and internal use applications
Building, repairing and maintaining of computers, software and electronics to both manufacturer and industry standards.
Creation and maintenance of a complete intranet with dealership home pages, email contact lists, forms, circulars and network news.
On call technical support for all staff and application vendors
Administration on invoices from all suppliers and vendors
College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or related degree
Good knowledge of SAN/NAS, Windows 200x, Active Directory, MS Exchange, VoIP and security infrastructure technology and best practices
Experience with Nortel VOIP phone system or BELL or TELUS is an asset
Experience with CDK and Reynolds and Reynolds automotive system is an asset
