Travel Nurse – Emergency Room
** This is a Travel Nurse Position to Northern Remote Communities **
We are looking for highly motivated Registered Nurses who are interested in traveling to Northern communities for 4–6-week assignments to help deliver health care to underserved communities. In this position you will be working in the Emergency Room.
Emergency Room Nurses are responsible for using evidence-based practice to collaborate with other health care providers and provide care to patients experiencing emergent and acute health conditions with predictable and unpredictable outcomes. This position grants the successful candidate a lot of autonomy in practice.
This is a physically and emotionally demanding job working with marginalized communities who do not have access to a lot of resources. Straight time, overtime and on-call shifts available.
Must Haves
- Minimum 1 1/2 years Emergency Room Experience
- Ability to handle emergent and acute cases
- Valid RN license in good standing in your province
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR for Healthcare Providers
- Fully Vaccinated as per Health Regulations (MMRV, TB test, 2 COVID vaccinations at minimum)
- Recent clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Nice to Haves
- Experience Working in Isolated and remote communities
- Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
- Critical Care Nursing Course
