Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Optometrist to join our team at Guildford Centre. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional eye care services, lead clinical operations, and foster a positive patient experience. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ocular conditions using advanced equipment and techniques.
- Manage patient care for diverse populations, including pediatrics, seniors, and patients requiring specialized attention such as medical or senior care.
- Utilize electronic health records systems such as Epic to document patient visits accurately and efficiently.
- Provide personalized recommendations for corrective lenses, treatments, and referrals as needed.
- Lead clinical staff by providing guidance on best practices, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and maintaining high-quality patient care.
- Assist in the development of sales strategies for optical products and eyewear, contributing to the growth of the practice.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and available treatment options to enhance patient understanding and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the team to optimize clinic operations, improve patient flow, and implement new technologies or procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid optometry license with current registration in the region.
- Proven experience in optical practice with strong skills in patient care and clinical assessments.
- Experience working with pediatric patients and senior populations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to eye health and ocular conditions.
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems such as Epic is preferred.
- Knowledge of sales techniques related to optical products is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a team effectively and foster a welcoming environment for patients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $70,884.51-$126,753.71 per year
