YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Begins training on all the filling lines as required, inspects, selects, handles, prepares, paints, fills, (except Compressed Gases) packages and labels of all types of containers.
Performs warehousing duties as may be required.
Begins orientation on all mobile equipment assigned to the department.
Maintains a safe and pollution free environment, performs housekeeping duties, maintains log sheets and records, takes sample tests, etc.
Introduced to the types of containers, cylinders, etc., and shown what constitutes an acceptable container. Reports all major defects or abnormalities to management.
Is familiarized with equipment required for each job. This will include the necessary safety equipment such as safety harnesses, fresh air units, hearing protection, etc.
May be assigned to the maintenance crew to do minor maintenance work or assist maintenance specialist in their duties.
Must observe established safe-work permit, safety, pollution, and housekeeping programs. Must wear protective equipment as required.
In the event of an on-site emergency will be expected to assist the Emergency team members in any capacity necessary.

Technical college degree in Chemical process (technique).
Previous experience in an chemical handling and production environment (3 years minimum).
Knowledge and/or training in TDG, WHMIS, Emergency Response
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and ERP (SAP) systems would be considered an asset.
Commitment to safety and past Joint Health & Safety Committee experience is considered an asset.
Forth class engineer
French and English / Spoken and written.
Available to work on first, second, third shift and weekends.
Available for overtime if necessary.
Available for business travel (maximum of 10 %).
Travelling daily to the facility. (within 30 minutes or maximum of 35 Km of the Beauharnois facility.
