Job requirements & responsibilities:
- Leading service and supporting the Executive Chef
- Running kitchen operations during service
- Supervising and mentoring cooks
- Maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Experience with sauté, sauces, proteins, seafood, and high-volume restaurant/banquet production
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen organization
A Sous Chef must have completed culinary school and have received a Chef’s Trade Certification from the province in which they are applying for work. A strong candidate would also have certification from the Canadian Culinary Institute of the Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks (CFCC).
