Woodhouse Contracting is looking for an experienced Commercial Carpenter to join our growing team in Waterloo Region.
This is a permanent, full-time, year-round position with an established local contractor. You'll work on a variety of commercial and institutional projects, including renovations, tenant improvements, office spaces, healthcare facilities, educational environments, and specialty construction projects.

What You'll Do
As a Commercial Carpenter, you'll complete a variety of carpentry and general construction work on projects throughout Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
Your work may include:
- Commercial renovations and tenant improvements
- Framing, drywall installation, and finishing carpentry
- Installation of hollow metal frames, commercial doors, and hardware
- General carpentry, repairs, and specialty construction
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project plans
- Laying out and completing work accurately according to project requirements
- Coordinating with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and other trades
- Working independently and taking ownership of assigned work
- Supporting daily site activities and project schedules
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship, productivity, and jobsite safety
- Providing guidance to less experienced team members when required
What We're Looking For
- Strong carpentry experience, preferably in commercial, institutional, renovation, or tenant improvement construction
- Ability to confidently complete carpentry work with limited supervision
- Experience reading and working from construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Ability to coordinate effectively with other trades and project team members
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence
