Job Summary
We are seeking experienced, professional and client-focused Mortgage Agents to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist clients in securing mortgage loans, provide expert guidance throughout the application process, and ensure a seamless experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of financial products, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. The Mortgage Agent will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their homeownership goals while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, attract and generate business leads, and clients with financial needs for a mortgage product.
- Assist clients in understanding mortgage options and selecting suitable products based on their financial situation
- Prepare and review mortgage applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Negotiate terms with lenders to secure favorable rates and conditions for clients
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally
- Manage cash flow and financial documentation related to mortgage transactions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, lending policies, and market trends
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other tools to track applications, client information, and loan statuses
- Educate clients on financial planning, repayment options, and related services
- Collaborate with real estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience or background in financial services, banking, or mortgage brokerage preferred
- Valid Mortgage Agent License preferred
- Previous Band Mortgage Mobile Advisors, Bank FAs, Mortgage Agents
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a professional demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with relevant software tools
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple client files efficiently
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
