We are looking to hire a full time cook who will also have some duties as kitchen manager.
As Cook: Experience cooking for groups of people and necessary documentation. We are a retirement home, so meal pre and service is more like a large family dinner as opposed to restaurant style. Pace of work is considered moderate and you work alongside a dietary aide.
We will provide orientation and training. We use a pre-set, rotating menu and basic recipes. You will be given lots of guidance and support. We take care of seniors and provide group meal sitting for about 60 seniors, for breakfast, lunch and supper set times. If you love to cook and have done it for large family gatherings, this is similar.
As Kitchen Manager: Must have a higher level of maturity and the ability to direct other kitchen staff and cooks. The Kitchen Manager role will come after comfort as Cook has been gained.
Pay rate will depend on experience and assessed after 30 days.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
