Job Summary
AC Hemorrhoids & Anorectal Centre is a specialized private outpatient clinic in Calgary focused on the assessment and treatment of hemorrhoids and common anorectal conditions.
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in a primarily non-procedural clinical role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Obtain relevant medical and anorectal histories
- Perform physical examinations within NP scope and competency
- Assess patients presenting with hemorrhoids, anal fissures, rectal bleeding, anorectal pain and other common anorectal concerns
- Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans
- Provide conservative treatment and prescribe medications when appropriate
- Determine when additional investigation, imaging or specialist referral is required
- Educate patients regarding their diagnosis and treatment options
- Conduct follow-up and post-treatment assessments
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with NPs, RNs and external healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Practitioner eligible to practice in Alberta
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent patient communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in a focused private outpatient environment
- Experience in primary care, GI, colorectal, emergency, surgical or related fields is an asset but not required
Compensation
$75/hour
