We are eagerly seeking a Full-Time Cleaning (Working) Night Supervisor to join our team. The qualified candidate will be working Monday to Friday evening shifts from 5:00pm to 1:30am at our Cambridge office building locations.
8.5 Hour Shift=
3 Hours at $22.50 an hour -Supervising
5 Hours at $18.50 an hour - Heavy duty cleaning
Job Specifications:
- Report to designated Operations Manager
- Supervise and manage a team of 7 people as well as various Subcontractor teams
- The supervisor will be based at one main location and will visit another 3–4 sites once per week
- Perform cleaning duties as requested by Operations Manager (these include not are not limited to: dusting, sweeping, garbage collection, clean up of washrooms)
- Inspect work sites to ensure Durabond standards are upheld
- Address client and staff concerns
- Ability to handle issues surrounding poor employee performance
- Train new and current staff on correct janitorial standards and processes
- Participate in the hiring process by providing assessment and feedback regarding suitability of candidates for current open positions
- Administrative duties such as paperwork for building inspections
- Order required cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements
- 2 years experience of staff supervising and overseeing tasks - within the facilities industry considered an asset
- 3 years cleaning experience
- Experience supervising 5+ employees
- Reliable and honest
- Hard-working and trustworthy
- Self-starter and initiative
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to motivate others
- Criminal Record Check will be conducted as part of the hiring process\Must have valid Driver's License
