Summary:
In your role as Medical Office Administrator you will support the physicians and clinical team with administrative tasks to develop, promote and contribute to the success of the practice. This position requires travel between two office locations, a valid drivers license and access to a motor vehicle is preferred.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greeting and registering patients
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Manage specialist and diagnostic appointment bookings and referrals
- Manage incoming reports and mail
- Manage recall appointments
- Manage phone calls
- Maintain work environment based on infection control protocols
- Supply/inventory management
- Autoclaving
- MOA's PTO coverage
- Any other tasks as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Completion of Medical Office Administrator or Office Administration – Health Services Diploma or Certificate
- 2+ years of experience in the field of health and/ wellness
Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading and comprehension)
- Effective time management and team-oriented skills
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, etc
- Telus Practice Solutions experience required
- Punctual, reliable and flexible
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
