Fine Line Markings Inc. is hiring a mechanically inclined individual to maintain and repair small engines and specialized road-maintenance equipment.
This is a travelling position for up to seven months per year, with additional winter work available after the road-maintenance season. Accommodations, tools and company benefits are provided.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair and maintain small engines and related equipment
- Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs
- Keep tools, parts and maintenance records organized
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems in the field
- Work overtime when required to keep equipment operating
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with supervisors and field crews
- Help manage spare parts and equipment inventory
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with experience working on small engines
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to travel for extended periods
- Available to work overtime, evenings and weekends when equipment repairs are required
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical or diesel systems is considered an asset
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
