Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Baking Assistant to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will support daily baking operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure the quality and presentation of baked goods meet our high standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and mixing batters for various baked goods
- Support cake decorating and finishing touches to create visually appealing desserts
- Help with food preparation tasks including measuring, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and baking stations
- Package baked items for retail display or customer orders, ensuring proper food safety protocols are followed
- Follow food handling and safety guidelines to ensure hygiene standards are maintained
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods, including restocking supplies and cleaning utensils
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and packaging materials
Requirements
- Prior experience in baking, food preparation, or a restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic cooking skills and experience in the food industry are desirable
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a passion for baking and customer service are essential
