About Us
We are a growing Abbotsford-based business operating as the exclusive Canadian distributor of a specialty fertilizer line. We supply our products across Canada. We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our small but dynamic team.
The Role
You'll be a key part of our day-to-day operations — keeping QuickBooks organized, managing government filings, maintaining our CRM, and helping grow our online presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize QuickBooks — accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, bank reconciliations, and financial record-keeping
- Prepare and submit GST/HST returns
- Process payroll and submit payroll remittances
- File WCB (WorkSafeBC) reports and remittances
- Manage PST filings and compliance
- Own and manage the CRM system on the backend — maintaining customer records, organizing pipelines, logging activity, and keeping data clean so the sales team can stay focused on leads and customer conversations
- Order tracking, data entry, filing, and general office organization
- Assist with customer communications and follow-ups
- Help manage inventory records and supplier documentation
- Produce Monthly reports for ownership to review
- Support the owner with day-to-day business needs as they arise
What We're Looking For
- Proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks — this is a must
- Hands-on experience with Canadian government filings: GST/HST, payroll remittances, WCB, and PST
- Experience managing a CRM system on the backend (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, or similar) — setting up workflows, maintaining data integrity, and supporting a sales team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable with general computer tasks (email, spreadsheets, file management)
- Some experience with social media platforms and content creation
- Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable, professional, and discreet — we operate in a regulated industry
What We Offer
- Flexible scheduling within a part-time framework (10–15 hrs/week)
- Onsite to begin with, may be able to work from home part time in the future.
- Could likely grow into a full time position, as a second sister business comes online later this year.
- A supportive, low-pressure work environment with a small team
- Compensation based on experience
Pay: $39,229.43-$76,708.63 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule
