Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Baker to join our Bakery Team on a full-time basis at our location in St. Paul, AB . Reporting to the Bakery Manager.
What you’ll do:
Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and respond to product inquiries.
Order, receive, inspect and store raw materials and supplies used in the preparation of baked products.
Prepare, mix and bake a variety of products including breads, rolls, buns, pastries, cookies and specialty items according to established recipes.
Operate commercial bakery equipment including mixers, proofers, ovens and slices safely and efficiently.
Monitor product quality, freshness and consistency throughout the baking process.
Maintain a clean, organized and food-safe work environment, including daily sanitation of bakery areas.
Rotate inventory and remove outdated or unsellable products to minimize waste.
- Work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, weekends and stat holidays as required.
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the
Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand, and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
Red Seal Journeyperson Baker Certification (or equivalent) considered an asset.
Minimum 2-3 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or retail setting
Strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient functions and food safety regulations.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
You can regularly lift up to 50 lbs and can meet the physical demands of a fast-paced retail environment.
