Summary
Our busy truck dealership is looking for an Assistant Parts Manager. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, variety in their day, and being part of a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Parts Manager with Staff Management
- Assisting Parts Manager with Parts Inventory Control
- Assisting Parts Manager with Parts Rebate programs and SPA
- Assisting Customers with Parts Request
- Parts Look-Up and Procurement
- Parts Flyers and Specials
- Core Management
- Warranty Parts Management
Qualifications
- 5 years heavy truck experience
- Understanding of commercial truck parts, systems and cataloging
- · Mechanical/technical knowledge of vehicles.
- · Software proficiency, inventory control, online ordering, e-commerce.
- · Ability to forecast demand based on sales history and vehicle population.
- · Understanding price matrixes and margins
- · ability to build relationships with customers and vendors
- · Team Management, coaching staff, resolving workplace conflicts
- · Problem solving
- · People skills, managing staff and allocating resources and equipment to operate department effectively.
- · Manage and track cores to mitigate loss.
- · Accounting knowledge to reconcile purchases to payables.
- · Communication skills with staff, customers, vendors and other departments
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
