POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Service Department technicians. Working alongside the service manager and dealing with customers on requirements for service / maintenance / repairs and preparation of all Customer Service proposals in line with established pricing procedures. Strong relationships with the parts, engineering, manufacturing, sales and purchasing departments is also required
RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Lead the team in a positive and supportive manner through a “lead by example” approach
⦁ Continuously monitor performance and provide mentoring, guidance and improvement recommendations for the benefit of the individual as well as the organization as a whole
⦁ Work with the service manager in order to delegate service personnel to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
⦁ Sales of service and working with the parts department on the sale of parts related to the service work
⦁ Work with service personnel to prepare the necessary paperwork for customer calls
⦁ Work along side the service manager to prepare estimates and proposals for repairs/rebuild of equipment to present to customers
⦁ Work with the service manager to close service jobs in a timely manner
⦁ Assist in answering technical questions from internal and external requests with the assistance of service personnel
⦁ Ensure quality procedures, work instructions and policies are being followed in the service department
⦁ Ensure estimates of cost presented for proposals are accurate and backed up with sufficient documentation for future analysis
ATTRIBUTES WE SEEK
⦁ Heavy duty equipment Mechanic license is preferred
⦁ Minimum 10 years of experience working with heavy mobile equipment either in a shop or in the field
⦁ Proven leadership and team-building skills
⦁ Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
⦁ Excellent organizational and time management skills
⦁ Ability to work well under pressure while providing first class customer service
⦁ Must be approachable and have good communication skills with customers and employees
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs
⦁ Must be able to work in cold environments
WAGE
⦁ Competitive wage package offered dependent on experience.

REQUIRED WORK HOURS
⦁ Regular work hours are 8-5/ Monday to Friday, however you may be required at times to start early or end late or work weekends
⦁ Two weeks holidays to start
⦁ Three month probation to start
