About the Role – Communications Agent
Communications is the hub of the hotel. You will be responsible to directing external and internal calls and deal with any guest request directly. You will take room service orders and enter them in the POS for the room service server. Working closely with the front desk team, you will assist with administrative task such as detailing reservations, VIP reports as well as pre arrival communication with our guest. You will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure a smooth day to day operation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answers phone inquiries in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest names when possible and routing calls to proper extensions
Dealing with multiple communication tools including but not limited to telephone, email, zello, text messaging system as well as HotSOS
Assist guest with any requests and relay them to relevant department
Take Room Service orders and use Point of Sales System
Review arrivals and detail reservations in Property Management System
Send out Pre-arrival communication
Prepare VIP report
Accept and deliver wake up calls
Other duties as assigned
Previous hotel experience in a luxury setting an asset
Must have clear and pleasant speaking voice
Comfort with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn other computer software necessary for the role
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Refined verbal and written communication skills
Strong guest service orientation, utilizing empathy and creative thinking
Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
Knows how to multi-task while ensuring consistent and elevated guest experiences
Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
