Café Mexico is looking for experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented support staff to join our front-of-house team.
This is a multi-faceted support role that includes hosting, bussing, food running, floor support, takeout organization, and expo. The right candidate must have experience in all areas of restaurant support and be confident taking ownership of the front door.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone organized, quick on their feet, and able to manage reservations, waitlists, guest expectations, and the pace of a busy restaurant with confidence and professionalism.
This position requires weekday availability with a strong focus on weekends.
Responsibilities include:
· Greeting guests warmly and confidently as they arrive
· Managing the host stand during service
· Handling reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists
· Quoting accurate wait times and managing guest expectations
· Clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently
· Supporting servers and bartenders during busy service
· Running food and drinks to tables when needed
· Assisting with expo during service
· Organizing food coming from the kitchen
· Ensuring dishes are complete, accurate, and going to the right tables
· Packing and organizing takeout orders accurately
· Checking takeout orders before they leave the restaurant
· Keeping service stations stocked and organized
· Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
· Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
· Jumping in wherever needed to support smooth service
The ideal candidate will have:
· Previous restaurant support experience
· Experience with hosting, bussing, food running, expo, and guest flow
· A strong front-door presence
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· The ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
· A strong work ethic and sense of urgency
· A genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
· Weekend availability
