ASSOCIATE SPECIALIST, PLANNING
Emergent BioSolutions is currently seeking an Associate Specialist for our Planning Department. The successful candidate will have a University Degree or technical diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in a discipline related to the function and 2-4 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, effective communication skills and proficiency in all Microsoft applications. In addition, this individual will possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence and innovation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Plasma- Physical Inventory & Documentation
Oversight of physical plasma inventory
Receiving, Inventory, Sorting, Run Formulation, Dispensing, Unit Pulls, Repackaging, and a shipping
Review and manage plasma documentation and reporting
Optimize inventory levels
Issue purchase orders to suppliers,
Perform receipts various Warehouses, sales and dispatch from applicable warehouses
Work with Plasma planner to determine shipping schedule with suppliers to meet production requirements
Coordinate plasma deliveries.
Prepare customs documentation for specialized products
Review, manage and distribute shipment package information
Prepare commercial invoices
Coordinate Fed Ex shipments when required
Plasma – Supplier/Part Management
Control supplier/part management
Ensure short codes are in place for all suppliers and supplier lists are updated
Ensure part numbers are in place for plasma types and appropriate part master is completed
Additional Support Functions
Lookbacks, Deviation Reports and other QA support functions
Support plasma receipt and release (including SCAR management)
Write and revise procedures to ensure compliance
Provide iRen Support
Negotiate and manage external supply agreements
Ensure contracts align with all quality and regulatory requirements
Procurement- standard programs
Request and evaluate pre-shipment samples
Assess suitability of results and approve shipments or provide follow up instruction
Determine delivery of plasma to support production schedule based on internal department lead times
Develop and maintain tracking and reporting structures for new and existing plasma collection programs
Develop Crystal Reports and Excel reports for the Production Planning group and other internal clients
Develop and maintain access to the department SharePoint webpage
Plasma Sales Support
Create/identify lots for sale
Provide customer with pre-shipment sample if required
Generate customer specific documentation
Generate documentation required for release of Sales Lots
Perform iRen transactions required to process sale: case transfer, process plasma through a job, support QC and QA in status transfer, issues Sales Orders and Dispatch.
Prepare and provide documentation to off-site storage facility/transportation carrier

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
EDUCATION: University Degree or technical diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in a discipline related to the function
2- 4 years in a related discipline

Strong Interpersonal Skills
Effective communication skills
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
Citizenship/Permanent Resident or Valid Work Permit.
Successful Completion of a Criminal Record Check.
